Los Angeles Angels star Mike Trout is going on the injured list with a hamstring injury, The Athletic reported on Thursday.

The severity of the injury isn’t clear at the moment, and neither is his return-to-play timeline. Trout has missed only one game so far this season.

In 74 outings this season, the 34-year-old center fielder and designated hitter has piled up 17 homers and 36 RBI while slashing .234/.394/.472. After missing out on the All-Star Game each of the past two years, Trout has appeared poised to make a return to the midsummer classic, which will be played in Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park, not too far from where he grew up in New Jersey.

Trout’s .866 OPS is his second best in the past four season. Plus, his .394 OBP is good for ninth in the majors this time around. Plus, his 54 runs scored are tied for the second most in the bigs right now, behind only Washington Nationals standout James Wood (68).
